Charlotte, NC – Car Accident at Boxmeer Dr & Statesville Rd Intersection

Charlotte, NC (May 1, 2021) – At 2:50 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, May 1, a car accident took place at an intersection in Charlotte.

According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Boxmeer Drive and Statesville Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles were left with extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Several victims were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
