Charlotte, NC – Rollover Accident at S Tryon St & Carowinds Blvd

Charlotte, NC (December 30, 2020) – Around 4:53 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, December 30, a rollover accident occurred in Charlotte.

According to Charlotte officials, the accident took place on South Tryon Street around the area of Carowinds Boulevard. It is believed that two vehicles collided with one another in the area, one of which immediately rolled over. The accident led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

The left turn lane was blocked by the rolled vehicle for some time as police worked to clear the scene.

The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
