Charlotte, NC (May 2, 2021) – On Saturday evening, May 1, one person was killed and others were injured in a fatal car accident in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened on I-485 around the area of I-85. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in the collision, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were injured. Their conditions were deemed life-threatening in nature.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Drivers traveling in the area were urged to seek alternate routes.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
