Concord, NC (March 29, 2021) – Around 4 a.m. on Monday morning, March 29, a fatal pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Concord.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 49 and Zion Church Road. A pedestrian was crossing the roadway in the area when a vehicle traveling through the area struck them.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
