Salisbury, NC (March 1, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Monday morning, March 1, a serious car accident took place on a major highway in Salisbury.
According to police, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of I-40. Multiple vehicles collided in the area due to reasons that are still being investigated, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One person was seriously injured and hospitalized.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked around the area of Highway 801 and Yadkin River Bridge.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
