Charlotte, NC (March 10, 2021) – Around 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening, March 8, a serious bus accident took place in Charlotte.
According to officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, an occupied CATS bus was involved in a collision with a car in the area of Wilkinson Boulevard and Old Dowd Road just before 6:45 p.m. Authorities said that five passengers were on the bus, but no serious injuries were reported. Medics were dispatched to the scene and said one person was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. However, first responders did not indicate if the injured person was in the vehicle or bus.
The details regarding what led up to the collision have not been released, and it’s unknown if any charges will be filed in connection to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
