Mooresville, NC (March 5, 2021) – On Thursday night, March 4, a man was killed in a fatal accident on a major roadway in Mooresville.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of NC-150 and Pinnacle Lane. At the time, 58-year-old Ricky Sessoms was driving his Ford Mustang when he went through the intersection, and his vehicle collided with a Ford F-150 truck.
The driver of the F-150, identified as 31-year-old Nathan Bounds, was not injured and cooperated with police. Sessoms was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for approximately two hours.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
